If Nigerians are the happiest people in the world...

Going by the way Nigerians seems to be contended with what is happening to them... From daily kidnappings, lack of water supply and electricity, deaths in our hospitals, robbery and even wantom killing of policemen, day light looting by law makers, endless road traffic, daily road accidents and deaths, regular religious and ethic riots, 419 and daily fraudulent activities.... which Nigerians seems to have beautifully adapted to - proven by the fact that we are complacent about demanding and working towards a better country - .... Hell, at the at the end of it all may not be such an effective tool of punishment for sinners as they may eventually find it to be more of a sauna treatment.... As it seems to me that is exactly what is happening in Nigeria.

We are not even intelligent enough to feel shameful

Practical stories first.....

What surprises me is the so called elite and middle class that travel so often outside the country that do not have a sense of shame to be identified with a country that seems to be populated by morons... Because if that sense of shame is there, there would have been a sense of urgency for everyone in the middle class up to actively do something about our extreme backwardness.... The fact that they do not even understand the need to feel ashamed for such an association truly calls to question if in totality these people are intelligent.

So then if your convinced you are not a moron and you equally innately as intelligent or at least have the capability to be comparably intelligent to any one else in the world why not stand up today and let us prove that.

Would you not be insulted and feel a sense of no existence if you have been told to your face with practical obvious example to prove it that not only, but also your forebears are truly idiots?

If you are not and if you are proud enough to prove that your forebears are not, then wake up today and let us do something about it.

Do not ask me to suggest what you need to do, as that will only conclude that at least you who is asking is truly an idiot and the rest of us that stands up today, search through our heads and start to actively work towards reversing this erroneous impression are those that should walk tall as true children of the Most High God who has not created an idiot or a fool.

Louis Odion of National Life wrote in his tribute to late colleague, Mr  Dipo Okunmuyide
and I quote:

'Losing a colleague alone is heart-rending;  to hear
that the calamity happened in a clearly avoidable circumstances is doubly devastating. This perhaps best sums one's feelings following reports Monday night that we had lost Dipo, our correspondent in Ekiti state

He was earlier involved in a motor accident in front of the Teaching Hospital, Ado-Ekiti.
But due to lack of capacity, the hospital had to refer him to the University College vHospital Ibadan'.
And the man died.
The Teaching Hospital, Ado-Ekiti has, as Chief Medical Director, one of the best doctors you will find anywhere in the world. My dear egbon, Professor  JGF Esan , Ikoro and Christ's School,  a man I was privileged to have known first hand when we both worked at the Faculty of Medicine, UCH, Ibadan,is a world reputed Haematologist who should be the pride of any of us here and who can be trusted to run as good a hospital as you would find anywhere.
But what happens vwhen the place he superintends over is as described below?
Increasingly, we are getting to know that we are only being led by the nose in Ekiti which is a shame really.
I only wish that if the poor guy would have had an accident, it should have been right in front of LASUTH.in Ikeja then he most probably would be alive today.
Adieu Dipo, may your unfortunate death be the last of the type in Ekiti and may the good lord comfort the family you left behind.

The morbid state Ekiti University Teaching Hospital

The debilitating situation of Ekiti State healthcare facilities is worrisome and had exposed the castle of falsehood erected by the State PDP regime.

We had severally reiterated that Ekiti PDP regime is operating an imaginary Teaching Hospital in Ado-Ekiti only on signboards and through its professionally abused State Broadcasting Corporation.

The human abattoir, nicknamed Teaching hospital is overgrown with weeds which first attend to patients who struggle for scanty fresh air with demoralized medical staff in the worse than bakery-oven wards.

As at today, there is no functional ambulance in the mouthed world class PDP Teaching Hospital and the only available wheelchair at the emergency ward is supported with a plank. The emergency ward is currently on a stretcher and needs an emergency attention.

Fifteen year old-bed sheets inherited from the Old Ondo State still serve as cover clothes for patients in the hospital!

Earlier, medical staff of the state of the art death scare centre embarked on a work to rule action, protesting decayed facilities but the State PDP regime blamed an imaginary opposition for the patriotism of the striking staff. Despite the denials and name callings, the quarrelsome regime did nothing to prove their critics wrong.

It is regrettably noticeable that the PDP 'imitation' Teaching Hospital is running an understaffed clinical administration. The more experienced nurses are now on transfer to the Health Management Board, leaving behind a few fresh hands.

It is curious that only medical personnel would be left with over 100 patients, running and perspiring profusely from one ward to another to tend to traumatized patients.

It is comical that a regime which beats its chest for the establishment of a yet-to-be-seen world class eye clinic with rented Cuban optical technicians falters in providing primary healthcare facilities against more prevalent malaria and maternal mortality.

While the only State Basic Health Centre, alias Teaching Hospital is on the death bed due to euthanasia administered on it, the PDP regime is desperately laying the foundation of another white elephant General Hospital in Ado-Ekiti.

The pathologically incorrigible regime recently went into verbal boxing with a clergyman who bemoaned the dearth of potable water in Ado metropolis, advising him to maintain the silence of the altar and live with the perilous state of Ekiti State.

Like the cleric, we had raised the alarm that the recent consessioning of Ekiti water system is to bag the treasury into sachets for delivery to PDP godfathers and cronies, hence the inability of the Irewolede water tap to rain potable water but forlorn expectation and frustration.

It is the tradition of Ekiti PDP to attack whoever shows concern for their annihilating failure, labeling him or her an AC agent; rather than curing their leprosy, they would run after ringworm.

It is also regrettable that the billion naira MDG funded blue clinics had suffered executive atrophy while no visible and beneficial project had been commissioned by the tottering regime in 36 months. This is in spite of the billions of naira the regime had collected.

Ekiti PDP regime is a fowl hibernating on a different species of bird's eggs; hence, it could not hatch the chicken.
